Fly Lines
It could be argued that the fly line is our most important piece of kit. Buy a great rod and it can soon be let down by a poor fly line, especially if the coating is rough, tacky and unpleasant to handle. Add a few coils (often called line memory) for good measure and the net result is .... frustration! Good quality lines are smooth to the touch, supple and most important of all; a joy to cast. Rio produce some outstanding lines namely the Gold and Aqualux series. The Greys Platinum XD is one of our personal favourites and if you are after a sinker check out Airflo who produce a massive range. The Sixth Sense and Sweep format are brilliant!
