FAQ - 1 - Do guests need to be Experienced?
NO! Nick Hart Fly Fishing specialises in introducing Novices to fly fishing. In fact no experience often means that there are no engrained bad habits to solve. FAQ - 2 - Do guests need equipment?
NO! Nick Hart Fly Fishing provides high quality equipment by world famous manufacturers. YES! Nick Hart Fly Fishing is close to a wide variety of hand picked accommodation. The list includes Country House Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Self Catering Cottages & Camping. Guest favourites are the Three Acres Country House situated just 5 minutes from the shores of the lake. There are also some fantastic restaurants and gastro pubs in the area providing the perfect end to an exciting day of fishing. FAQ - 8 - What activities are available for non anglers?
The West Country has much to offer outdoor people in general. Walking is high on the agenda of course (although we prefer a walk with a fishing rod!) with miles of incredible scenery to enjoy and well marked paths, many of which conclude at the doorstep of a decent pub! If walking is a litte sedate then why not take to Horse back for a traditional journey across Exmoor although Mountain Bikes are fast becoming the modern alternative. Water sports are also available including Kayaking and as we are situated a short distance from some of the best Surfing breaks in the UK, this is another option. In fact we know a good few surfers who love taking to the waves with a rod in search of Bass just as much as they love riding a board. Photography Courses are available, head to a local Spa or just kick back, relax and enjoy Exmoor in the company of a good book. Although not all venues are suitable, many non anglers join their fishing partners during courses or meet them for lunch. So, even if partners do not want to attend a fishing course we are pleased to be able to organise suitable activites for them to enjoy while their loved one enjoys their special day.
FAQ - 9 - Can transportation be arranged?
YES! Nick Hart Fly Fishing can organise ground transport providing both airport and train station pick ups/drop offs for an additional fee. The nearest train station is Tiverton Parkway and the nearest airports are Exeter and Bristol. International guests are advised to fly into Gatwick or Heathrow. If a non fishing partner needs a car we are fully insured to transport fishing guests in style using our top of the range Toyota Invincible 4x4 to local venues or provide pick ups from local accommodation. This service does not incur any additional fees.
