ABOUT THE ARTIST

David Burton trained and practiced as a fine artist last century but now makes a living as a digital designer. Whenever he can leave the mouse behind he can be found outside, waders on, spending every minute he can besides the river. David says of his stunning linited edition prints:

"I’m lucky enough to fish the river Piddle, in Dorset, a perfect example of an English chalk stream. It is always a privilege and a delight to be stood on her banks casting a fly at the wild brown trout that lie beneath her bright waters.

My prints are the result of many happy days spent by the river over the last few years. Sometimes I’m alone, sometimes I’m with friends and family. Occasionally there’s a picnic, often a beer, but there’s always a smile on my face as I squint through the sunlight on the lookout for rising trout. There’s no better feeling than reaching down and releasing a beautiful, perfectly finned and spotted small trout in gin clear water around your ankles."
